Set Yourself Free

It’s been a while guys and I’m so glad to be back here. I really missed you all and I hope you missed me too (*chuckles*).

Since I started a small garden on my balcony, I have learned and relearned many lessons from the processes involved; lessons on faith, trust, growth, results, seasons and so many other viable lessons. While I have shared some of them my social media handles overtime, I will be sharing an inspiration and possibly more others later, on this blog. Kindly stay on this one for now.

I came across the following statements at different times before now and something about their truth in simplicity struck me.

• “The soil does affect the seed.”

• “If the seed is not thriving, check the environment.”

The point is this: while having a good seed is important, a wrong environment can destroy a good seed. The environment does matter. 

Let me use this opportunity to make you aware of certain limiting belief systems that you probably have but that need to be dethroned:

False belief reaction:

You have to endure what’s not working for you

You don’t have a choice

Things will change, let’s just wait

Whatever happens, just take it as God’s will

People are watching

Other people are okay with it

True belief response:

If it’s not working, change it

Even God gives you freedom of choice

What can I do to change things?

When what you don’t like happens, challenge it in the name of God

God is watching

You are not other people, neither are your journeys the same

Too many people have for long endured abuse at the detriment of their emergence. They endure because they have been told that it’s part of the divine package. Please know that God can work abuse out in your favor, but it was never His arrangement. You have to begin to see yourself as God sees you. That desire to be more, knowing that there’s more to you, is your inner guide- follow it.

Don’t allow wrong thinking to limit you anymore. God’s plan for you is good. As a man thinks, so he is. Align your mind with God’s. Many of all we could be are being contained by what we have been told. The limit you should allow in your life should not be one that’s put there by anyone but God. The good news is that if you can be all that God planned out, you will be shocked at the glory that will be revealed. Eyes have not seen who you could be. Let God’s word guide you. 

If someone is not treating you right, you can leave them.

If an environment is not healthy, just go elsewhere.

If your best version is being threatened, find a place that nurtures it instead.

The Bible says if you are being persecuted in one place, just go elsewhere. Don’t be stuck in an unhealthy cycle. Always start by knowing in your mind that you have a choice becuse if you re defeated in your mind, your physical life will be drained of energy to do what is right for you. You don’t have forever to choose the right path but today is a good day to do so.

Guys, your life can be better if you allow God to renew your mind in the endless possibilities that are in His Word. The Word of God is powerful to change your life. Let the Word of God condition your environment, let it determine the aura of your life and you will find that you don’t get to shortchange yourself. You were designed to be limitless. When a thought seeks to make you small, always ask yourself- does this sound like what God is saying to me?

Whether it’s coming from your mind or your environment, assess what you give access to. Remember that God wants the best of you to emerge. 

Many of those negative belief systems are designed to cage you.  God designed His Word to free you. I decree over your life, you are free again in the name of Jesus.

Soil, geology, topography, weather- they all play a part in how well a plant performs. That’s why apples only grow in cooler climates. Besides, what pepper plants need to thrive differs from what tomato plants need, even though they look alike. Go where God sends you, be sure that you are on His path, be bold in your pursuit of His will.  He created you, and thus He also knows what you need in order to thrive and emerge. You will thrive and your best version will emerge in Jesus’ name.
