Created Beautiful

The moment I sighted the Mandarin duck for the first time, I thought “Wow, what a beauty!” I was so captivated that I immediately began to search the internet, just to know more about it. After the search, I realized that what I was actually in awe of was not the bird but the Mastermind behind its creation- such a colorful masterpiece!

It is the excellence of God’s creation that made King David wonder in the book of Psalms Chapter 8, just like I wondered about the bird, just like you have wondered about the seas, the skies, the flowers, the trees, the fish, and each of His magnificent creations. After I wondered about the Magnificence of God, then I became excited about the Crown of His creation- Man. The excellent mind behind the creation of the beautiful bird I admire created me. This experience that I had, reminds me of King David’s inspired write-up in the book of Psalms Chapter 8 and this is what he says in verses 3 to 9:

When I consider your heavens,
    the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
    which you have set in place,
⁴ what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
    human beings that you care for them?^[c]

⁵ You have made them^[d] a little lower than the angels^[e]
    and crowned them^[f] with glory and honor.
⁶ You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
    you put everything under their^[g] feet:
⁷ all flocks and herds,
    and the animals of the wild,
⁸ the birds in the sky,
    and the fish in the sea,
    all that swim the paths of the seas.

⁹ Lord, our Lord,
    how majestic is your name in all the earth!

What makes man truly special, is that he was created in the image and likeness of God. So, while we may think “Oh, what a colorful bird”, or “what a mighty ocean”, or “the beauty of the sky is simply breathtaking”, a combination of this colorfulness, might and beauty does not compare with the creation called man, who was made in the image and likeness of God. This is how special you and I are, we are the Crown of God’s creation.

He who made the Mandarin bird so beautifully, made your life beautiful

He who made the perfect skies, made your life intricately perfect

You are God’s handiwork and He intentionally put every detail of your life in place. Take a look at yourself and say “God made me well”.

In several forms, someone or society will always have a standard of what is awesome or beautiful, and if that is an attribute that you seem to lack, do not allow the pressure to influence how you see yourself. God did not intend for every man He created to be a particular way and no one has a right to demand such from another. Also know that every opposition is a blessing in disguise. You can read what I wrote about this in my previous article and I am sure you will begin to see oppositions in a new light.

Surround yourself with people who see you the way God sees you, people who will encourage your best to emerge.

As long as you are in God’s hands, you are golden because His is the Midas touch.

You are worth every moment that God spent in creating you, that’s why He did not think it twice before sending Jesus to redeem mankind…and the blood that Jesus shed for your sake?- PRICELESS.
