How God Met My Need (Series 1)

Spread the love

I love to hear stories of how God stepped into a situation and saved the day. I will like to share with you a group of testimonies of how God provided for His children. Guess what? This is the first of it’s kind because you will get to see more of this subsequently, along with the individual testimonies. I believe that these stories will lift your faith, causing you to know more than ever, that God is interested in making His children happy.

1.) How My House Rent Was Paid in Full

“The year started really good for me financially and I saved a portion of my income. However, by the middle of that year, I noticed that business became quite slow and while there was cash flow, my basic needs could barely be met with the income. I started to pray more often and trusted that God would intervene. My biggest concern was my house rent which was due to be paid in a couple of months. It was going to be my first rent after the initial rent for moving into the house and I did not want to start my journey with my landlord by giving excuses.

During this period, I could tell that God was with me and He gave me a Word in Matthew 6: 26:

‘Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap pr store away in barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you no much more valuable than they?’

God began to bring opportunities that I had long dreamed of my way. The issue, however, was that while the opportunities were wonderful for me, they required that I expend funds while not yielding immediate financial returns. I kept moving anyway, using some of the money I received during the period and taking some of the savings when I had to.

The month to pay my rent came and all I had was 40 percent of the total amount, which was from what I had saved earlier in the year. I definitely had serious concerns at this point but I kept praying and trusting God, knowing that He never puts to shame. Two weeks before the due date for payment, I got a call to come over to a renowned religious organization for a meeting. When I got there, I was asked to take up a project that required urgent attention. Part-payment for the project was transferred to me and I immediately had my rent and a little more to hold on to as well. When I got into my car after the meeting, I told my friend who had accompanied me and also knew my rent story “I just got my rent”. God always shows up, if we keep believing. Meanwhile, those opportunities that God brought my way have also caused me to be a blessing to others. I have learned to keep praying because God gives more than we ask for.”

2.) I got a new Laptop and I’m Truly Grateful

“I had a small laptop that was functioning poorly for a while until it finally stopped working. I was advised to not spend money to fix it because it was an old laptop and would give more problems subsequently. While I had the laptop, it functioned only for my basic school work but I could not practice to code on it , which I wished I could do.

While I told those who could help ensure I got one about my need, I knew that only God could provide. So, I started to talk to God about my need and would also thank Him for it even though I did not have it physically yet.

Interestingly, I came across someone who testified about getting a new laptop and that strengthened my faith. I decided to hold on to the lady’s testimony as a point of contact or prophecy for mine, for Revelation 19: 10 says:

‘…For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy”

There were times while I was waiting that I needed the laptop and would start to complain, then I would remember that God gives in due time. I kept encouraging myself with the Word of God and soon after, God did it. I now have a new and big laptop that I can do all I want with.

God hears us, always.
