Is it possible to be anointed and not serve God’s purpose with it? Yes. While it is not right, an anointed person can actually serve his own purpose or the purpose of the people rather than God’s. The people who did miracles in the Lord’s name but were rejected by Him in Matthew 7:23 were obviously anointed, but their results fell short of God’s purpose. While God gives the body of Christ gifts in the form of men that He has empowered to serve His purposes, the men are still men and susceptible to the flesh. It is, therefore, the
